St. Paul’s Church, Lucerne in Switzerland

On Monday Fr. Ness travelled with a friend to Lake Lucerne in Switzerland for five days. He concelebrated Mass on Wednesday in St. Paul’s church there and offered this Mass for growth in our spiritual, pastoral and social life and for the intentions of all our families especially for those parishioners who are faced with serious illness. Two more parishioners made known their serious illness to Fr. Ness last Sunday and he prayed for them by name at that Mass. Photographs of the church and of Lucerne are now posted on our web page and on our Facebook page. Fr. Ness was announced to the congregation as a priest from Easterhouse, Glasgow and got a very warm welcome and an invitation to return. St. Paul’s matched our hospitality to all visitors. The Mass was celebrated in German but Fr. Ness read the Prayers and passages of Scripture in English at the altar.
